Bobcat Boosters Golf Outing

       The Bobcat Boosters Golf Outing was held at Raymond Memorial Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio. Among the golfers that attended were Ken Chaffin, Principal of Grandview Heights High School and Andy Culp, Superintendent of Grandview Heights City Schools. This was my first time shooting golf. TBT: The Contortionists of The Dance Extensions Performing Arts Center

       I love Cirque Du Soleil. I have never been to a show, but I have watched performances on video and on PBS. The athleticism of the acrobats has always amazed me with their jaw dropping talents. Their contortionists always blow my mind. How they are able to bend their bodies into those positions in nothing short of astounding. No, they are not yogis or yoga practitioners although some may practice it. Most yoga practitioners can only dream of hitting those poses. Contortionists are acrobats and dancers who perform acts of extreme flexibility. Contortion is flexibility as an artform. Last year, I went to the Pittsburgh area to photograph the Contortionists of the Dance Extensions Performing Arts Center, taught by Betsy Shuttleworth. Betsy is one of the worlds best contortion trainers. She has traveled all over the country and worldwide teaching contortion. Some of her students have auditioned for America's Got Talent.
